Three Days of Therapy - in a ROW?!!? :)

One of these days, I PROMISE I'll write our 'story' about Jason and how we came to his 'speech delay' diagnosis - I'm just still trying to get this whole blogging thing down...

We decided to LIVE last week and went to Kiddieland last Thursday. Our ST appt is on Wed/Thurs, but come on, people, it's KIDDELAND!! Missing one day of ST isn't going to hurt (right...??). We had a blast!! I was a little surprised, though, that Jason didn't ride more rides than he did (he rode 1). He is already more adventurous than his brother was at this age (and even NOW, at 7!!), so I thought he'd be all over those rides. Um, nope. I guess Jason plays a good game and 'talks the talk' about being a 'tough guy.' :) I'd put him in a ride and WAAAAAA, not a good idea. I laughed my butt off at the only ride he rode...it was the one with these rockets that just went up and around in a circle. Jake was 'at the controls' in the front, and Jason was seated in the back. Well, the ride took over, they went around a coupla times, and Jason was fine - until he saw me, that is...He started 'waaaaaaaa' and every time they went around, I'd hear..."WAAAaaaaa...." "WAAAAaaaaa..." It was actually kinda funny (is that bad?!?!)!!

Jake did a little better on the rides, actually. He didn't wanna ride the log ride though ("come on, Jake, it's just like the roller coaster, only with water!!" No go.). My friend Julie and I rode the Tornado. Ugh. We both got so...sick. I think we're too old for those spinny rides. THEN you add the heat, crabbin' kids, nausea...NOT fun!! But, it was all worth it!!

So ANYWAY, since we missed our therapy last Thursday, we have to make it up today. She's coming today at 530p, then on our regularly scheduled days - Wed at 145 and Thurs at 145. THREE DAYS IN A ROW!!! Sometimes, and I know this is 'wrong,' but I dread it. Every ST session is a gamble on whether or not Jason's gonna be in a good mood or not, or will even cooperate! Sometimes, early on in the session, he's a bear, but she keeps going and going and going...I dunno, I guess she's GOTTA stay the allotted hour, but sometimes I just wanna tell her, "Ok, this ain't workin'!!" but...she's a trooper for stickin' with a screamin', frustrated kid!!

Today, and this is EXCITING, he signed 'poop' and I checked and yep, he had poop!!! WHOOPEE!! He's done it before, but he did it twice today. He's also been signing 'drink' a LOT more, too. I believe he's addicted to freeze pops, but that's a good thing, because when he wants one, he says "POP!" WHOOPEE!! I love it, love it, love it!! I've been trying to work on him saying "Love You" - last night he just sorta 'grunted' "Uhhh uhhhhh..." Doesn't sound ANYTHING like LOVE YOU, but hell, I'll take it!!!!!

We were also at my neighbor's house earlier and when we were leaving, I said "Say bye to your friends!" and he stopped, turned around and waved, and said "Buh BUH!!" God, I just love it...

Alright, lemme try to post a picture here - get ready folks, I LOVE pictures and will probably post a gazillion of them! :)
